Photo: Senator dares Commissioner of Police, protests release of kidnapped Chibok schoolsgirls

Yesterday the Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory, Joseph Mbu reportedly banned all forms of the #BringBackOurGirls protest in Abuja.

Well the police have come out say they never banned the #BringBackOurGirls protest in the Nation's capital but only advised them to be careful, so that criminally minded people won't take advantage of the protests.

Before the police denied it, the major protest which is usually carried out by the Abuja family and led by Oby Ezekwesili today went to court to get a restraining order against the Police, but Senator Babafemi Ojudu, didn't bother going to court but matched to Unity Fountain with some of his aides to stage a peaceful protest, saying the order by Mbu was illegal and banning of protests is an infringement on people's right.

He also warned the commissioner not to repeat what he did in Rivers State in the FCT and says the protest will continue until the government takes the necessary steps to bring back the abducted girls.

He also stated that if not for the protests by various groups, especially women groups, the whole world would not have been aware of the issue.
