The Federal Government has directed all public, private primary and secondary schools to resume on Monday, September 22, 2014.
It would be recalled that the government had after a council meeting on August 26, postponed resumption of private and public primary, as well as secondary schools to October 13, 2014, as a precautionary step against the spread of the Ebola Virus Disease.
Minister of Education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, disclosed the new date today in Abuja while briefing newsmen after an emergency meeting with state Commissioners of Education.
He said, "We have now agreed that Primary and Secondary both pubic and private will reopen and begin formal classes on Monday, 22 September 2014."
