Nigerian troops dislodge Boko Haram terrorists from Balmo Forest

The Defence Headquarters have said that troops of the Nigerian Army have dislodged Boko Haram terrorists from Balmo Forest, a forest believed to be one of the major hideouts of insurgents in the North-East.

The Balmo Forest links Borno, Bauchi and Adamawa states and it is said to host some of the training programmes of the insurgents.

The Defence Headquarters who disclosed this in some tweets posted on their Twitter handle on Tuesday, said the army are now in control of the forest. Read below...
