Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola while commissioning 12 blocks of 37 Classrooms at Asoro Grammar School, the rebuilt Annunciation Catholic College, Irrua and the Isua-Uzenema Road in Esan East Local Government Area of Edo state on Friday, lambasted the Peoples Democratic Party, calling them Poverty Development party.
Speaking at the commissioning, which was part of ceremonies to celebrate the 6th Anniversary of the Government of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Ogbeni Aregbesola said a responsible government will always do everything in its power to give the citizens the best.
"A responsible government will always struggle to ensure that all citizens have access to the best. I come to let you know that the greatest legacy you can have from your parents and from any responsible government is education.
"APC is the only party that can take Nigeria out of the shackles of poverty. As a matter of fact, the only visible programme that the PDP does is development of poverty. Don't call them Peoples Democratic Party, call them Poverty Development Party.
"The difference between APC and PDP is that the PDP pockets our money to develop poverty, but we in APC spread our wealth to develop the people, to make them happy and wealthy. Wealth does not come through laziness but through hardwork", he said.
