LET'S TALK: Why do we always leave the meat in our food to be eaten last?

Lol i heard this question on radio... So I'm wondering if you have ever thought about it??? My mom told me its so that when a visitor comes to your house and meets you eating they won't think you cooked the food without meat. What about you? Talk to me... I'm listening!!!!!! !!
