Last week Justin Bieber was leaving a recording studio in Miami when photographer Binion tried to take a candid picture of him. He was thrown against a wall by Bieber's bodyguard Hugo Hesny and a "gun was displayed" while Hugo and other bodyguards took his camera, Bieber took out the memory card of the camera and refused to give it back.
Binion is now suing both the pop star and his bodyguard, saying he suffered bodily injury, pain and suffering, mental anguish and incurred medical expenses following the incident.
Binion's lawyer told TMZ: "Justin Bieber is now an adult, and he should act like one. He needs to learn that he cannot use bodyguards as weapons to harm innocent people. Bieber's violent behaviour toward photographers must end, and he should take responsibility for his actions.
No amount of fame or fortune justifies Bieber's shameful and outrageous conduct. To send him that message and deter his misbehaviour in the future, we will seek punitive damages against him as allowed by Florida law."
