Delta state Senator, Pius Ewherido is dead

The senator representing Delta state central on the platform of Democratic People's Party (DPP), Pius Ewherido is dead, aged 50. He died at the national hospital, Abuja, on Sunday where he received emergency attention after reportedly collapsing at his home in Abuja.

The late senator was the Vice chairman Senate committee on Marine Transport, and was a member of the committee on Trade and Investment. He held Bachelors of Arts(Philosophy) and Bachelor of Law from the University of Ife and Benin respectively.
