After nine months of anticipation, it's almost time for the royal baby to come into the world! Kate Middleton and Prince William are about ready to meet their first child as Kate went into labor in the early hours of today July 22 and checked into St. Mary's Hospital.
She will be giving birth in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital, which is the same wing that Princess Diana gave birth to both William and Prince Harry.
As planned, The Royal Household official Surgeon-gynecologist Dr. Alan Farthing and the Queen's Surgeon-Gynecologist Dr. Marcus Setchell are prepared to deliver the baby along with their team of nurses.
Clarence House tweeted the first official statement today, stating:
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labour. The Duchess traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.
