Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dimeji Bankole, wept on Friday in a Abuja court as he was discharged and acquitted of corruption charges filed against him by the EFCC.
The court found there was no evidence linking the former Speaker with the financial malfeasance alleged against him, thus setting him free.
Bankole who seated in the witness box, began to shed tears of joy. He refused to make any comments as he left the court premises.
