The Federal Government has issued a red alert on petrol tankers in the FCT, following intelligence report of a ploy by the Boko Haram Sect to seize petrol tankers, plant Improvised Explosive Devices in them and blow them up in crowded places in the city.
Coordinator, National Information Centre, Mike Omeri, announced this yesterday at the daily security briefing in Abuja.
Mr. Omeri further urged Nigerians to be vigilant and also report any broken down tanker to security agencies.
