Late Nigerian Gospel artiste Kefee (Irikefe Don-Momoh, nee Obareki) was buried on Friday 11th July 2014 in her hometown Okpara Inland, Ethiope-East Local Government Area, Sapele, Delta.
As the body arrived Akpevwoghene Educational Centre, Okpara Inland, around noon in a white SUV with "Omega 1″ as the plate number, the whole town was mourning.
Kefee's body was laid in a white casket, and friends and family paid their last respects. The casket was not immediately opened to all.
During the funeral service, Sammie Okposo and his band, as well as other gospel artistes took turns on stage.
Teddy Don-Momoh , late Kefee's husband who was in white, arrived earlier to receive the body along with members of Kefee's family. Her body was taken into a room, and prayers were made before the body was placed in the centre of the field.
After the service, Kefee's body was transported to the burial site where a mausoleum had been erected. She was buried amid tears.
Guests present include Nikki Laoye, Tosin Martins, Daddy Showkey, I Go Dye, DJ Gosporella, Linda Etukudo, Nene Soul Diva, Anny Ibrahim, Princess Dammy, and Aity Dennis.
Out of custom, her parents were not allowed to be part of the funeral service or see the body.
In the evening, after the burial, a celebratory event where gospel artistes and a number of local upcoming artistes performed till late.
