Ebola: 2 dead, 20 hospitalised after excessive consumption of salt in Jos

Salt is not the solution for the Ebola virus!!

At least 2 people are feared dead, while 20 others are hospitalised in various hospitals in Plateau State after consuming excessive quantity of salt and bitter kola to prevent Ebola Virus Disease.

The 2, collapsed in the morning after consuming too much salt over night. They were rushed to the hospital by family members but reportedly died later in the hospital of high blood pressure.

Medical personnel in the hospitals where other patients are currently taking treatment in Jos, say most of the patients were hypertensive while others showed symptoms of stooling due to excessive consumption of salt. Most of the patients are women and children.
