After reportedly paying Boko Haram $400,000 ransom, arms and ammunition, to secure release of Francoise Agnes Moukouri, wife of Vice Prime Minister Amadou Ali, other hostages, Cameroon's President Paul Biya has vowed that his government would go after the Islamist group "until it's totally wiped out".
"The Cameroonian government assures you that it will ceaselessly continue to fight Boko Haram until it's totally wiped out," Biya said.
Boko Haram had on Friday night delivered 27 Cameroonians including the wife of Cameroon's vice prime minister and 10 Chinese hostages to authorities.
