The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has relieved the Head Coach of the national team, Stephen Keshi of his job.
The Executive Committee of the body rose from a meeting that dragged into Thursday morning to declare the decision in a Communique.
Also, Keshi's assistants: Daniel Amokachi and Ike Shorounmu are to follow him through the exit door.
"In the interest of Nigeria football and the desire to ensure qualification for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals, the Committee decided to relieve them of their duties with immediate effect," according to the communique.
Amodu Shuaibu has been picked as replacement.
