The Independent National Electoral Commission has disclosed that it plans to engage the Nigerian Air Force, Navy and other security agencies to provide what it called adequate security for the 2015 polls.
Mr Austin Okojie, the commission's Resident Electoral Commissioner in Taraba, disclosed this while addressing Batch B corps members at NYSC Orientation Camp in Jalingo on Sunday.
Okojie explained that the move was necessary given the level of insecurity in the country.
"The commission is making arrangements with the Nigerian Air Force, Navy and other security agents to ensure safety of lives and property during the 2015 general elections.
"We expect Nigerians to understand that the engagement of security agents to maintain law and order is to enable us to conduct free, fair and acceptable elections'', he said.
Okojie advised corpse members to be patriotic in the elections.
