Nigerian Army, yesterday, in Lagos, paraded 42 suspected members of Boko Haram sect arrested in their hideouts in Lagos and Ogun states.
Some of the paraded suspects confessed to have killed soldiers and civilians in the northern parts of the country.
They also confessed to have fled Borno State for the western part of the country following the ongoing military intervention.
Parading the suspects before newsmen, the General Officer Commanding 81 Division, Major General Obi Umahi, stated that the suspects were arrested following intelligence report on the migration of some members of the sect to the South, from the operation's commander in the South-Eastern part of the country. He said based on this information at the division's disposal, a coordinated raid was carried out in some criminal hideouts in both states.
He said: "The Command organised and carried out raids in conjunction with intelligence operatives in various parts of these states.
"The Boko Haram members' influx is adduced to plans to unleash terror in some parts of South-West, which includes 81 Division's area of responsibility.
"The raids were conducted from 12 to 23 July in various hideouts in Lagos and Ogun states, which are fast becoming Boko Haram enclaves.
"The raids were conducted in Ibafo trailer parks and Ileke new trailer garage in Ogun State; Aviation quarters, Mafoluku Oshodi, Ketu/Mile 12 motor parks, Orile trailer park, Lekki new extension and Bar Beach in Lagos State, where 42 suspects were arrested.

Governor Babatunde Fashola gives naked man N100k to start a business
Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola recently rescued a
22-year old vulcanizer, Akin
Abayomi, who was found stark
naked at Tafawa Balewa Square,
TBS, Marina, Lagos, southwest
Nigeria, around 12 midnight.
Abayomi was found naked in
the middle of the road when the
governor was driving by with
his convoy and thinking he was
a mad man, Fashola ordered his
security aides to pick him up for
rehabilitation.
The man was taken to the State
House, Marina where he was
housed for the night before the
governor sent for the Special
Adviser on Youth and Social
Development, Dr. Dolapo Badru
to rehabilitate him.
Abayomi confessed that he was
not a mad man, but that he
stripped himself in the middle of
the night on the road because
he wanted to curse the person
who stole his cell phone and his
money.
He said he visited a herbalist in
his quest for revenge against
the person who stole his cell
phone and money and was
instructed to carry out the act in
order to curse his enemy, which
was why he was naked in the
middle of the night.
According to Badru, the man
said he was never mad and that
he was an apprentice and that
his phone and money were
stolen by somebody.
"After I picked him up from the
State House, he said he was not
a mad man, but says he drinks
and smokes marijuana and that
he is an apprentice in a
vulcanizing workshop. He said
he bought a phone and that
somebody stole the phone.
"After we investigated for two
weeks to know his family, we
realised that the Society of St.
Vincent de Paul, an arm of the
Holy Cross Cathedral, is also
interested in rehabilitating him,"
he explained.
Badru disclosed that the
governor released N100,000 to
Abayomi to start up his own
vulcanizing business as well as
bought him a phone and asked
the church to monitor his
progress.
He said the governor has really
changed his life, saying that if
Fashola had not picked him up,
he would not have completed
his apprenticeship training to
become a successful vulcaniser.

Who am I to judge homosexuals - Pope Francis
Pope Francis on his way back to Rome from a long trip to Brazil declared that it was not his place to judge homosexuals.
He said: "If someone is gay and seeks the Lord with good will, who am I to judge?"
"The problem is not having this orientation, it is lobbying. That's the most serious problem I think."
Talking about Battista Ricca, who was appointed by the pontiff to a key position at the troubled Vatican bank, but is embroiled in allegations that he had gay relationships with male prostitutes.
The pope said he had ordered a "brief investigation but we found nothing on him".
"I have not seen anyone at the Vatican who is registered as gayon his identity card. We acknowledge that there are (gays)," he said.
Nevertheless, "the catechism of the Catholic Church says clearly that we must not marginalise these people who should be integrated in the society."

Nigerian music director jailed 90-years for fathering six children with daughters
Culled From: Vanguard
An award-winning Nigerian music director found guilty of fathering children with his daughters will spend the rest of his life in jail.
Aswad Ayinde, 55, of Paterson, NJ, was sentenced to 50 years in prison Friday after being found guilty in the second of five expected trials in which he is accused of repeatedly raping his six daughters, resulting in six children being fathered. Mr.Ayinde was found guilty in his latest trial of having intercourse with one of his daughters when she was as young as eight-years-old. The second sentence adds to the 40 year sentence Mr Ayinde received in a 2011 trial for sexually assaulting a separate daughter.
Mr. Ayinde is known for
directing the music video for the
Fugees 1996 smash hit 'Killing
Me Softly.'
In a disturbing disclosure
during his first trial, Mr. Ayinde's
former wife said he was trying
to create a 'pure family
bloodline' by impregnating his
daughters. He even claimed
during a pre-trial hearing before
the first trial that 'the world was
going to end, and it was just
going to be him and his
offspring and that he was
chosen.'
In this latest trial, it was revealed
that Mr. Ayinde began having
intercourse with his second
daughter from the time she
eight-years-old, impregnating
her four times.
As repoted by Mail Online the
sexual assaults happened for
almost 30 years until Mr. Ayinde
and his wife separated, officials
said. They occurred in
numerous homes across
northern New Jersey, even while
the family was under watch of
state child welfare officials,
according to NBC New York.
Some of the rapes even took
place in an abandoned funeral
home.
The family moving as far away
as Florida to avoid investigation
after case workers removed
multiple children from the
Ayinde household in 2000,
resulting in Mr. Ayinde being
arrested for kidnapping for
trying to take them from state
custody in a medical center, NBC
New York reported.
He pleaded guilty to lesser
charges and received a year's
probation – as he continued
raping one daughter for at least
another two years, according to
officials.
The depraved father also beat
and starved the girls using
wooden boards and steel-toed
boots for even 'minor
transgressions,' Ayinde's wife
testified at the first trial.
Some of the children Ayinde
fathered with his daughters
were born in the home, with at
least two babies who died in
the home having been buried
without notifying authorities or
obtaining birth certificates, NBC
New York reported.
Mr. Ayinde also fathered 12
additional children with an
additional three women,
according to court records
Ayinde's tortured daughters
were home schooled and
isolated from other children, so
as to keep the family secrets
hidden, the station added.
With his wife too afraid to
confront him, Mr. Ayinde carried
out his evil plan without
hindrance even while directing
the music video for the Fugees
1996 breakout hit 'Killing Me Softly, for which he won 'Best
R&B Video' at the 1996 MTV
Music Video Awards. The Fugees
are also originally from Northern

Funke Akindele is unfortunate - Chairman of Actors Guild speaks about her failed marriage
The Chairman of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) FCT, Abuja chapter, Mr. Onwurah Agility in an interview with SUNDAY PUNCH described Funke Akindele's failed marriage as "unfortunate" adding that "maybe they were not to be husband and wife".
He said, "Because I am an actor does not mean I have to die in my marriage if it is not working out. We are humans like others, blood runs in our veins like other people.
"Marriage in Nollywood is not different from other marriages. But because we are the mirror of the society, the face of the screen and role models to many, if there is a problem in our marriage, it makes noise more than any other. There are many people in the industry that have been married for many years without separating.
"What happened to Funke (Akindele) is unfortunate but like she said, may be they were not to be husband and wife and she has learnt her lessons. It could have been anybody.
"The theory and stories that actors' marriages don't last are very wrong. I have been married for five years and still counting, likewise so many other actors in the industry."

Jude Okoye explains why he is not yet married
PSquare's elder brother and manager, Jude Okoye explains why he is not yet married READ BELOW;
So, when are you kicking bachelorhood?
When I will kick bachelorhood, i will call you and my fans to come and eat and drink. Already, I have purchased the bell, when it's time, I will ring it.
Why is it taking so long, on a more serious note?
It's taking so long because I am waiting for you people. Basically, why I am not yet married is that I don't want to get married because I have all it takes to marry or because I am ripe. I want to get married and feel married so that I will be committed to my wife.

The Former Ijaw Youth Council president and founder of the Niger Delta People's Volunteer Force, Asari Dokubo said on Facebook;
"People should learn to respect other people's sensibilities. We Muslims have the right to marry when we want or give out our daughters at any age we want. It is not your business and the law must respect our right to do so.
Anything short of that is an infringement on our rights. We did not ask you to marry ladies of that age or give your daughters out in marriage at that age. Plzzzzzzzz respect our sensibilities."

Child Marriage: Honourable and dignifying child marriage is better than child prostitution - MURIC
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), a non-government organisation, has called for tolerance on the controversy concerning child marriage.
MURIC's Director, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, made the call in a statement issued on Wednesday in Ibadan.
The statement said that in conformity with the tenets of Islam, age was not part of the conditions which must be met before marriage could be solemnised.
It said that where the bride was a 'minor', Islam prescribes protective solemnisation of marriage without consummation.
"This means that the girl who is deemed to be of tender age is left untouched by the man until she attains puberty.
"Another major condition for child marriage is that the girl herself has the right to repudiate the marriage when she attains maturity if she does not like her spouse.
"MURIC believes that honourable and dignifying child marriage is better than child prostitution which is rampant in Nigerian cities and red light zones," it said.
The statement compared the globalisation and promotion of homosexualism, lesbianism and same sex marriage as a direct challenge to God's divine order.

Child Marriage: God punish you Senator Yerima - Charles Nova
Lol Senator Yerima is in trouble. After the blast from Comedian Gbenga Adeyinka, Movie director Charles Nova has come out to lash Senator Yerima still on Child Marriage in Nigeria. Read below;
GOD PUNISH YOU, SENATOR YERIMA: I just read a purported defence of Senator Ahmed Yerima about the Underage Marriage bill he coerced his fellow dimwit Senators to pass into law. His lame excuses are as stupid as they are so archaic. A theory from a puerile mind: hiding under obtuse reasons to justify his sexual appetites through a Holy Law. This neanderthal Senator is a threat to National Security and National Unity. I hear he aspires to be the next President or Vice-President of this country, Nigeria. I can safely tell him that his aspirations will come to nought.
After amputating hands and legs in Zamfara State and shipping them to the South West to beg for alms in a suspicious Political Sharia atmosphere as proved by both President Obasanjo and Mallam El Rufai in his book, the dense Senator wishes to justify his actions by blaming it on a skewed lifestyle in a fictitious city where he lives! I don't know how else to answer the irritant Senator but to heap God's punishment upon him and his ilk.
May your ambitions to have a paedophile-imposed state never come to fruition and may you and your ilk have your political ambitions castrated. I join millions of women in Nigeria and beyond to abuse you and your friends in the Senate. And I will join them to celebrate too when your bill never sees the light of day. And it won't. Trust me. It won't. So sue me, asshole.

Child Marriage: Comedian Gbenga Adeyinka blasts Senator Yerima
Read what Comedian Gbenga Adeyinka has to say to Senator Yerima concerning child marriage in Nigeria;
Good people, so sorry to disturb you this rainy afternoon. I just read the response from a truly sick Senator Ahmed Yerima, a 2 time governor, a 2 term senator and truly a sick pervert trying to justify Child Marriage.
He says that child marriage is a solution to abortion and prostitution. I guess it also must be a solution to Embezzlement, Bad leadership, Insecurity and all the other problems that he and his type have heaped on our nation since independence.
If it is not that I was brought up not to insult adults, I would have called him a sorry excuse of a human being and a waste of his father's sperm but I will not.
I will only end this by telling him that nothing he says can ever justify marrying a baby as a wife, even if he claims they don't sleep with them at a young age.
Since he likes Egypt so much, I will end this by praying that may the fleas of a thousand Egyptian Camels infest his pubic area and armpit.
Agbaya oshi!

Nigerian Air Force Institute develops bomb defusing robot to fight Boko Haram
The Nigerian Airforce Institute of Technology (NAFIT), Kaduna, on Monday said the institute had developed a bomb detective robot capable of remotely defusing bombs and disposing Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), They also upgraded the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), codenamed AMEBO 111, so as to provide area surveillance of any troubled spot in Nigeria.
At a news conference in preparation for the 42nd graduation ceremony of the institute, the commandant said the bomb detonating robot, would assist the security agencies to check the series of bombings by terrorist groups.
On 14 February 2012, a policeman, Sunday Badang, was killed while attempting to detonate a bomb wrapped inside a bag with bare hands along Ungwar Seriki area of Kaduna metropolis.
As a result of that unfortunate incident, NAFIT went into research that led to the invention of this unmanned robot.
Displaying the robot before newsmen, Mr Oshoniyi said the equipment would be presented to the public as soon as it is ready, adding that the latest UAV still awaited test-flight because the Nigeria Airforce (NAF) did not have a trained UAV pilot and efforts to resort to the services of foreign pilot hitherto employed were unsuccessful.

Ondo senator publicly weeps as he apologises for supporting under-age marriage
Culled From: Punch
The member representing Ondo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Ayo Akinyelure, wept before members of his constituency in Akure on Monday as he apologised to them that he voted in error to support the senate resolution backing marriage of underage girls.
Akinyelure was summoned by
his constituents to explain his
role in the controversial passage
of a resolution to retain the
provision of Section 29 (4) (b) of
the 1999 Constitution, which
states that a married underage
girl is deemed to be an adult.
Politicians, women groups and
students had besieged the
Adegbemile Hall, venue of the
meeting, with placards to
protest against what they
described as the legalisation of
sexual abuse of young girls,
which their representative had
supported.
But Akinyelure burst into tears
as he laboured to convince the
obviously enraged crowd at the
tension-soaked session that he
mistakenly pressed the wrong
button during the electronic
voting exercise thinking that he
was voting against child
marriage.
The Senator said he had aligned
his thought with that of other
senators, who supported the
resolution that the provision
should be expunged from the
constitution. He added that the resolution was paraphrased again in a way that confused him to mean that pressing the 'No' button would mean voting against the resolution that the resolution should be retained in the constitution.
He said, "I am very sorry for this
costly mistake. I actually voted in
error. I pressed the 'No' button
during the electronic voting
session, thinking that I was
kicking against the early
marriage. I can never support
such barbaric and wicked bill."

The article 'Pastor T.B. Joshua revealed as man behind Al-Mustapha's release' is from the enemy - T.B Joshua
There is this rumour making wave around the internet that Pastor T.B. Joshua is the man behind Al-Mustapha's release from prison.
Below is an official statement from Prophet T.B. Joshua debunking the rumour:
My attention has been drawn to an online article headlined 'Pastor T.B. Joshua Revealed As Man Behind Al-Mustapha's Release' written by Sahara Reporters. This article is from the enemy.
They should not drag me into the issue of politics. If I was ever to go to Aso Rock, I would go publicly. I have already told you how I met Al-Mustapha. Don't put words in my mouth. I explained that I got to know him many years ago when a petition was addressed to General Bamaiyi who was the then Chairman of the NDLEA. I spent nine days with them for investigation and they found the whole thing to be a fabrication.
From there, I was taken to see the president where I met Mustapha. I was able to reveal to them who I am by telling them what was to come as a prophet. I told him that he would spend several years in prison and would be finally released which no one else had ever told him. That is why you saw him coming here as his first port of call. Where there is no vision, people perish.
It is therefore very malicious for Sahara Reporters to attach any political meanings to Al-Mustapha's visit. At no time did I tell President Jonathan that his political fortune rested with setting Al-Mustapha free, neither did I ever suggest that Chief James Ibori, former Delta State Governor be brought back to Nigeria to assist the president in the 2015 presidential election. Count me out of the politics of hatred.

I say NO to the senate bill endorsing child marriage in Nigeria - Omotola Jalade Ekeinde
Nollywood Actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde was in Bayelsa for the 2013 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria finale, The actress who was among the panel of judges for the beauty competition, was presented with a Silverbird Unique Personality Award. Just before receiving the award, Omotola delivered an emotional speech on the trending topic of child marriage in Nigeria
Read the transcript of the speech below.
Let me first and foremost thank The Lord almighty, my saviour and help for this award. Thanks also to Silverbird group the organizers of MBGN Thanks to my wonderful husband, Capt Matthew Ekeinde, my support and best friend whose also here tonight.
I am Today one of the Most influential person/people in the world because I wasn't given off to marriage before the age of 18.
It scares and totally shocks me that the Senate in Nigeria (the most populous Black nation in the world and Giant of Africa) would not be passing in a law ensuring that every child should compulsorily be enrolled in school.
A very alarming number of children today are on the streets hawking or have been abused, raped or are married to men/women who should be protecting them.
Who protects the children of Nigeria?
Would we wait for another Milala before we act?
Should we now remove the parental caution on movies that say "Not for persons below 18"
This is a call for justice and equity for children especially the Nigerian Girl child, who has the right to quality education, a childhood and the decision of whom and when to marry.
My Name is Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and I say NO to phedophilia and NO to the senate Bill endorsing Child marriage in Nigeria.
